Creating transformative learning experiences that lead to real-world impact

In Santa Catarina, Brazil, Flutter Innovation addressed the fashion industry's need for innovation by creating Design Camp SCMC (Santa Catarina Moda e Cultura—a prominent fashion and culture group in the region), a transformative programme that connected academia with industry. This initiative brought together over 100 students and 16 companies, fostering a new generation of designers through an immersive, competition-based format.

The programme utilised a progressive design thinking framework, guiding participants through discovery, connection, and construction phases. Students tackled real-world challenges from leading brands, developing innovative solutions in fashion, textiles, and home goods.

The four-day immersive camp experience combined workshops, expert lectures, and hands-on challenges, resulting in practical solutions that were integrated into SCMC brands. This approach successfully bridged the gap between education and industry while discovering new talent for participating companies.
